Student Presentations, Project 1

It’s time for sharing! This week, each group will deliver a five minute presentation to describe its solution to its selected sustainability problem. The guidelines for the written and verbal content can be downloaded by clicking on the Documents link of our course blog page, and then finding the Project 1 PDF document in the Handouts folder.

Your instructors will only review and grade written material that has been uploaded to your Google Drive folders as of 5:30 pm on Wednesday, February 28th. Your group will present, however, during the following periods of time:

Between 5:30 pm and 7:20 pm on Wednesday, February 28: Artificial Intelligence, Chicago Public Schools, College Energy, Company Assessment, Electric Cars, Gender Inequality, Healthcare Financing

Between 7:30 pm and 9:20 pm on Wednesday, February 28: African Wild Dogs, Animal Testing, College Costs, Electronic Waste, Social Media Time Restrictions, Women’s Hockey

Between 5:30 pm and 7:20 pm on Thursday, March 1: Hurricane Maria, Luminaid, My Brother’s Keeper, Olympics, Poverty, School Shootings, Wind Farms

Between 7:30 pm and 9:20 pm on Thursday, March 1: NFL Brain Injury, Opioid Crisis, Transportation Emissions, Wildfires

We will not assign any advance reading assignments this week. However, we will begin each session with a customary quiz, with this Wednesday’s quiz covering the content that we discussed in class on Thursday last week. This Thursday’s quiz will cover the content in the student presentations of the previous day.

If you have any questions as you prepare for your time in the spotlight, please let us know! We look forward to learning about your plans to ensure a sustainable future.
